An Open Letter from Colleen Holmes, President and CEO.
To our members, staff and partners, it is with great sadness that I share the news that as of today, June 30th 2022, Viability will no longer be the agency providing the Tradewinds clubhouse services. While entering our bid into the state’s electronic system during the re-contracting process, an entry error occurred. As a result, we were only recently informed that our bid was automatically disqualified with no recourse.
What hurts most is the disruption for our program members and our staff, and the loss of relationships that ran deep. Viability and its legacy organization Human Resources Unlimited, have served Tradewinds members for over two decades full of stories of inclusion, growth and success!
With our sadness there is also gratitude. Gratitude to our amazing Tradewinds staff members; gratitude to our members for allowing us to be a part of their journeys and for all the ways they made Tradewinds a welcoming hub of opportunity and connection; and gratitude for our partners.
We take with us lots of great memories. We leave behind a clubhouse that is delivering on its mission, and our eternal best wishes and fervent hope that the best is yet come. What is important here is that individuals with mental health conditions continue to live and work without stigma. Our members deserve it and we are rooting for them!
